LSU Names MacB CEO Executive in Residence

MacAulay-Brown, Inc. CEO Sid Fuchs Named Executive in Residence by Louisiana State University College of Engineering

 Nationally Recognized Business Leader and Member of LSU College of Engineering Hall of Distinction Provides Insights and Counsel to Graduating Seniors, Graduate Students and Department Chairs 

 DAYTON, Ohio, May 20, 2013 – MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company providing innovative engineering and technical solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that Louisiana State University (LSU) College of Engineering has named Sid Fuchs, President and CEO of MacB, Executive in Residence. In his official capacity with the University, he will provide thought leadership, course and seminar lectures, career development counseling, strategic planning and business operations guidance and advisory services to the administration, students and faculty of the University and College.

In addition, on April 12-13, Fuchs participated in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering’s Capstone Senior Design Program. As the featured speaker, he presented to more than 200 graduating seniors and graduate students in the Mechanical Engineering Department. Fuchs focused on the principles of leadership and discussed the importance of building and nurturing a strategic network as highlighted in his recently published book, “Get Off the Bench: Unleashing the Power of Strategic Networking Through Relationships.”

“I have known Sid for many years and have admired his commitment to LSU, the College and the engineering community,” said Richard Koubek, Dean of LSU’s College of Engineering. “As an Executive in Residence for the College of Engineering, he will play a critical role in mentoring our students and providing real world business experience and expertise to help shape our future direction.”

Last year, Fuchs was inducted into the LSU College of Engineering, Hall of Distinction. He was selected for his distinguished professional achievement, dedicated service to engineering, public service and outstanding humanitarian activities.

For more than two decades, Mr. Fuchs has played a pivotal role in business and government. As the CEO of premier engineering services companies, including MacB, OAO Technology Solutions and TASC, Inc., he has been at the forefront of leading organizations that design and deliver mission critical engineering and technical solutions that directly support the Nation’s global security efforts. Earlier in his career, Fuchs served as a Central Intelligence Agency Officer where he graduated from the CIA’s Special Operations and Career Training School and held positions as an operations officer, systems engineer, program manager and foreign weapons systems intelligence analyst. In addition, he has held federal appointments by the Secretary of Defense to the National Defense University Board of Visitors and the Defense Science Board’s Intelligence Task Force.
