(MacB), a leading National Security company delivering advanced engineering services and product solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Special Operations Forces, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that Mike Carpenter, Senior Technical Specialist at MacB, has been awarded the prestigious Association of Old Crows (AOC) Joseph W. Kearney Pioneer Award. The award will be presented to Carpenter on October 9 at the 51st Annual AOC International Symposium and Convention.
The Joseph W. Kearney Pioneer Award recognizes an individual’s pioneering activities and lifetime of service to the Electronic Warfare (EW) community. For more than 40 years, Carpenter has been instrumental in developing and fielding EW and avionics systems for the Air Force’s most advanced aircraft. As a civilian Air Force employee, he was the lead Electronic Warfare Technical Specialist for the B-52 countermeasures system and later became Chief of the B-1B Mission Avionics Branch. Since joining MacB, Carpenter has continued to serve the EW community by providing program planning, technical evaluations and acquisition documents for B-52 jammer programs, Next Generation Jammer Technology Maturation and the Communications Electronic Attack programs.
“On behalf of everyone at MacB, I’d like to congratulate Mike on this momentous achievement,” said Tim Lawrence, Senior Vice President and General Manager of MacB’s Advanced Technology Group. “Throughout his career, Mike has worked tirelessly to ensure that our most advanced aircraft are protected from sophisticated electromagnetic threats.”
