MacB Employee Inducted Into AOC Tech Hall of Fame
Dan Powlette Becomes the 18th MacB Employee to Join the Hall of Fame’s Distinguished Ranks
DAYTON, Ohio, September 25, 2012 – MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company providing innovative engineering and technical solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that Dan Powlette, Electronic Warfare Project Engineer at MacB, has been inducted into the prestigious Association of Old Crows (AOC) Electronic Warfare Technology Hall of Fame. Powlette was officially inducted last night during the AOC Foundation Celebration of Excellence Awards Ceremony at the 49th Annual AOC International Symposium and Convention, which is being held through September 26 in Phoenix, Ariz.
Powlette joins 17 of his MacB colleagues who have also been inducted into the AOC Electronic Warfare Technology Hall of Fame. The high number of MacB Hall of Fame inductees results from the company’s long history of work in electronic combat, as well as its commitment to hiring the best and brightest employees and fostering a culture of professional growth and satisfaction.
“On behalf of the MacB family, I’d like to congratulate Dan on this momentous accomplishment,” said Sid Fuchs, President and CEO of MacB. “As the 18th MacB employee to be inducted into the AOC Electronic Warfare Technology Hall of Fame, Dan is an example of our commitment as a company to going above and beyond to keep the Nation safe.”
Powlette has more than 40 years of experience in infrared/electro-optical (IR/EO) countermeasure system development and assessment. He is an expert in the use of computer models to assess the effectiveness of developmental systems, and has produced pioneering research on using tactical arrival and departure profiles to reduce the vulnerability of mobility aircraft to man-portable IR-guided threats located near an airfield.
According to AOC, inductees into the Electronic Warfare Technology Hall of Fame are chosen for the “unique and important technical contributions to the field of electronic warfare.”
