MacAulay-Brown Employees Recognized for Their Commitment to Electronic Combat at the 2012 AOC Kittyhawk Chapter Award Ceremony
DAYTON, Ohio, June 13, 2012 – MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading engineering and technical services company supporting the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community with over 2,000 employees worldwide, announced today that three of its employees were honored for their commitment to the Electronic Warfare (EW) and Information Operations (IO) industry by the Association of Old Crows (AOC) Kittyhawk Chapter. The award ceremony was held on June 5 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Beavercreek, Ohio.
Stephen ”Tango” Tourangeau, Director of EW Programs at MacB, received the Executive Management Award. Tango’s exceptional senior program management of EW activities, in partnership with the Air Force, significantly furthered the Air Force EW vision, as well as improving the overall EW enterprise.
Michael Woods, Program Manager and EW Analyst at MacB, took home the Program Management Award. He received the award based on his significant contributions in managing Air Force EW Capability Investment Strategy and other EW analytic efforts that produced products that advanced and energized the EW community.
Dan Powlette, EW Project Engineer at MacB, was presented with the Electro-Optical/Infra-Red (EO/IR) Award. Powlette’s expertise, experience and achievements were instrumental in the success of several critical advanced IR expendable decoy programs the Air Force uses to increase survivability of combat aircraft.
“It is always a pleasure to congratulate MacB employees when they are honored by their peers,” said Tim Lawrence, Senior Vice President, Advanced Technology Group at MacB. “Tango, Michael and Dan join a long and distinguished list of MacB personnel who have received awards for their commitment to keeping our nation safe through Electronic Warfare and Information Operations.”
Winners of the AOC Kittyhawk Chapter awards are also entered to compete for national awards in their respective categories to be presented at the 49th Annual AOC International Convention and Symposium, which will be held September 23-26 in Phoenix, Ariz.
In addition to the Executive Management Award, Steve Tourangeau was elected to the Kittyhawk Chapter of the AOC Board of Directors. As a member of the Board of Directors, Tango will help the organization accomplish its goal of promoting Electronic Defense/Information Superiority to maintain national security.
